February 29 It's official, I'm quitting MSFTIt's official!
I sent my "HR Representative" a mail indicating that my last day will be March 7th and what do I do now.
Wow.
It's finally real. I can't describe the litany of emotions that are flowing through me right now. There is a definite tinge of sadness, along with some relief, some gladness, some confusion...
Hey, now that I'm going to have a lot of free time on my hands, invite me out for lunch! Or actually, I don't think I will have a lot of 'bumming around' time, since there's a lot of stuff I want to do now that I'm free from heading to work every day. But I'm still available for lunch! And I'll be poor! No job == no income! Ha!
If I ever needed my gambling^W er, stock portfolio to pay off, now is the time. February 27 Step log Feb 26feb20 - 5786

Yay! for me February 26 Professor Layton and the Curious VillageI got hooked on this game during my recent vacation to Florida. I didn't actually play, but I was intrigued by the puzzles in the game.
So, I picked it up Friday the 22nd and finished it Monday the 25th. In 11:01 of playtime (the game keeps track), I solved 83 of 87 puzzles I saw.
The hardest ones for me were the sliding puzzle ones. I detest these because they're so contrived and I spent plenty of time in my childhood trying to solve those 15-panel sliding puzzles.
Supposedly there are 120 puzzles in the game, plus downloadable content (Nintendo wi-fi anybody?). February 05 Step log Feb 4, 2008I wasn't kidding about the easy lbs/hard lbs part. Here I am two weeks later and still at -11 lbs.

Feb 4: 3684 steps
My clothes do fit a bit better, and people have complimented me on the weight loss.
Though this time is rough on me (Thanksgiving, Xmas, all of our birthdays, anniversary, all in ~15 week span), I'm committed to staying on my diet and hopefully adding some exercise component soon. |
